It is expected that the opening of the PPHFT will boost tourism in Nusajaya’s hotspots such as Kota Iskandar, Mall of Medini, LEGOLAND® Malaysia and Puteri Harbour Family Indoor Theme Park.

Standing tow storeys high, the PPHFT features a T-shaped jetty, able to accommodate four ferries to berth at one time. Initially, a total of four trips are offered per day between Puteri Harbour and Harbour Bay Batam, as well as between Puteri Harbour and Tanjung Balai, Karimun. Begining June 2013 onwards, the total of trips have been increased to eight trips for each route respectively. It is also expected that the ferry services will expend to Singapore’s Harbour Front in the near future.
